Goldman Starch ("we", "us") publishes written analysis at goldmanstarch.com. This policy explains what this website collects, which is very little, and what happens to it.
What we do not do
- We do not set cookies. This site sets no first-party cookies of any kind.
- We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, tag managers, session recording, heat maps or any other visitor tracking.
- We do not embed video players. Videos are linked, and the link takes you to YouTube, which has its own privacy policy.
- We do not load fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers. Nothing on this site phones home.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
What we collect
Email address, only if you subscribe. If you type your email into a subscribe box and press Subscribe, that address is stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, Inc. (Netlify Forms), and used for one purpose: sending you the written analysis when it publishes. You can stop at any time by replying to any email with "unsubscribe" or writing to goldmanstarch@gmail.com, and the address is deleted.
Server logs. Like every website, the servers that deliver these pages (Netlify) record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Netlify keeps these logs briefly for security and reliability. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors. Netlify's own policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
Legal basis and your rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process a subscriber's email on the basis of consent, which you give by subscribing and can withdraw at any time. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website. You have the right to access, correct, export or erase the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and you may request to know or delete the information we hold. To exercise any right, email goldmanstarch@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Retention
Subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Server logs are retained by Netlify for a short, fixed period and then discarded.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we will delete the address.
External links
Links to YouTube, X, the SEC, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other sites lead to services with their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how subscriber emails are used would be announced by email first.
